Traditionally, fruit production was carried out on the estate in Nagygombos, which once belonged to the Duke Grassalkovich Family and later to the royal demesne, for several hundred years. The Gödöllő Tangazdaság Zrt. has since planted its own orchard - plum, sour cherry, apricot and cherry - on the 323 hectares of this plateau, mainly suitable for the cultivation of stone fruits of excellent flavour, which provides outstanding raw materials for the production of the Nagygombosi Pálinka.
Today, the Lőrinci production plant of the Gödöllői Tangazdaság Zrt. is one of the largest functioning new investments in Hungary with the purpose of producing traditional products, so-called Hungaricums. Therefore, you can find our palinkas as first-class, high-quality ingredient in the most famous Hungarian palinkas as well.
Our Distillery is also available to distill palinka on demand for private individuals and palinka houses; in addition, we sell palinka in bulk as well. After collecting the perfectly ripe and selected fruit, we follow traditional procedures while maturing and distilling the palinka, in the meantime reviving such century-old traditions as those of the Franciscan friars. We process the fruits, pitted and fermented with a special cooling technology, with a distillation carried out in stages in copper pot stills.
Our palinkas are prepared only from middle cuts that truly convey the flavour and fragrance of the ripe fruit. In the course of the careful distillation, we produce the high-quality ingredient, applying state-of-the-art technique and technological processes, under the supervision of highly trained palinka masters, which is made into inimitable work of art by special maturing in wooden casks.
